“Change the channel and stop your hatred!” Alan Carr fans stand up for ‘handsome dude’ after he suffered homophobic abuse as he replaced Zoe Ball on Radio 2
Alan Carr has been defended by some of his devoted fans after the talented host was abused with ‘homophobic undertones’ on Twitter on Monday.
The Chatty Man host, 44, was all the rage after featuring Zoe Ball, 50, on her Radio 2 Breakfast show.
It was recently announced that Alan will cover five mornings starting Monday, February 22 while Zoe takes annual leave.

He said on the Monday show, “ I can’t wait to spend my Monday morning with you ” as he performed Tavares’ hit, Heaven Must Me Missing An Angel.
Alan continued, “ Hello superheroes, who’s with us this morning? I’m not a morning person, so it’s going to be a lot of fun.
Many people enjoyed listening to him, but others were forced to speak up for him after spotting negative tweets.

One wrote on Twitter: ‘Oooooo, I love the homophobic undertones in a lot of Alan Carr’s tweets this morning! There are hundreds of radio stations; If he offends you so much, choose another! Yikes !!!! Central England never lets us down… ”.
Another wrote: ‘I don’t even listen to Radio 2 but I know Alan Carr is funny because f ** k and people just project a dislike for him in camp. ”
“The way 95% of the people who tweet about Alan Carr on Radio 2 are obviously from a place of homophobia.
