Arn Anderson answered questions from fans this week in an episode “Ask Arn Anything” from AdFreeShows.com. Arn spoke about the current wrestling landscape and he spoke about the Old Age Outlaws, Uncensored 1996, Chick Donovan, Worst Wrestling Promoters and more.

Here are some highlights:

Arn was asked if Ric Flair would have gone to WWE in 1988, coupled with the fact that Arn, Tully Blanchard and JJ Dillon were all there in 1989, Vince McMahon would consider using them as Cavalier: “Never. He would never have used all of us. It wasn’t his creation. He always liked to bring in guys who hadn’t been used elsewhere at all but who were talented and put a lick of paint. different about them and make them somebody else and give them a character then they were now his creation. If you totally went with that flow, you’d be fine because then you became a WWE guy. We couldn’t. ever, if we had walked through that door with this gadget in its entirety, I mean the heat would have been amazing in the locker room, but once the houses were blowing up like I knew it would never have used us like this we should be used because he couldn’t take credit for making us. He would never have pushed us the way we should have been. It’s just one of those things he would never have accepted to do. do in a thousand years.

Arn talks about the angle when Steve Austin urinated on him in 2002: “Two people who were heavily involved in it were Jack Lanza who was like the backstage producer and Austin himself. They both told me they went to Vince individually and collectively and said, ‘This guy is very well respected in business with boys and the public as well. It’s really humiliating. Can’t we do something else? Both were categorically rejected. Do I suspect foul play and a reason in my mind for doing it? Yes. Will it be very easy for him, well, we don’t want to do that to Ric. It’s almost like you’ve walked out and put Austin on and set him up for Ric for the next big PPV. You put it right in the middle, but that’s just another way to do it. It could be a punishment for leaving in 1989. He can wait a long time when he feels betrayed or feels that you have wronged him. We were the very first to give our opinion at that time. I know he didn’t like it and you associate that with other things and do I think that’s a possibility? Yes. I know he waits a really long time if he feels like you fucked him. Maybe I can see this. It was so degrading and humiliating if you looked at it from the outside in. I’m a guy you know what came to my mind when they said we wanted Austin to pee on it? My wife and children. But that’s the reason I did it and I did it with a smile. This is who I am responsible for. People might think that’s not true, but everything I’ve done in this business, every sacrifice I’ve made, every time some guys come to me that I respect and say, ‘You you don’t have to do that. You are Arn Anderson. You don’t have to do this *** t. Just tell them no. I did what was asked to take care of my family. This is my first responsibility on this Earth. He knows that all he comes up with is his idea that he wants to do for some reason you can say no and find another job. If you don’t say yes and do it with a smile, you can do it with your gritted teeth and he will know it and it’s like you haven’t done it at all, so the punishment will be the same. He wants blind obedience in all of his requests and he doesn’t want you to have your own opinion unless it parallels his. The audience knew he really hadn’t peed on me even though that sounded like the part.
