Sokratis offered to Liverpool
Meanwhile, Arsenal have reportedly offered Premier League rivals Liverpool a shocking chance to sign one of their defenders.
Despite Jurgen Klopp claiming the injured Reds are unlikely to sign a center-back, the players continue to be linked with a January stint at Anfield.
Both Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez have been lost due to long-term issues, while Joel Matip remains injury-prone.
Brighton Star Ben white and Lille ace Sven botman are two of many names linked to a move to Merseyside.
But in another twist, it emerged that Arsenal may have offered disgraced defender Sokratis Papastathopoulos to the defending Premier League champions.
Sokratis was left out of Arsenal’s squads ahead of this season. Indeed, Mikel Arteta recently admitted that the player is about to leave.
He said of the defenders: “We have Papa who is probably going to leave the club in this window. William [Saliba] has already been loaned out, so we don’t have that many at the moment.
Sokratis’ next move remains uncertain at this point. However, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano claims he was offered to Liverpool.
