Continuing its descent into the entertainment industry, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) raided the homes of actress Bharati Singh and her husband Harsh Limbachiyaa on Saturday, official sources said.
BCN reportedly recovered an unspecified amount of “ganja” in raids by Deputy Director Sameer Wankhede after a drug dealer revealed their names.
Bharti and Harsh were later arrested and taken for investigation to NCB offices in south Mumbai in separate vehicles where they were questioned.
Upon arriving at the NCB offices, Bharti Singh briefly told reporters that they had been “called for questioning”.
Earlier this morning, BCN teams landed at their premises in Andheri, the Lokhandwala complex and the Versova regions and conducted search operations.
Actress Bharti and Harsh are renowned comedians, television personalities hosting programs, appearing in reality shows or series.
The latest action is part of ongoing investigations into the link between the Bollywood Mafia and drugs that the BCN has been trying to unravel for about three months.
