Billie Eilish has claimed to have lost around 100,000 Instagram followers after posting a revealing photo of herself wearing a corset.

In a new interview with ELLE, 19-year-old Eilish said: “I’ve lost 100,000 subscribers just because of the boobs. People are afraid of big boobs.

It looks like the photo she is referring to is a post where she is seen in a tomato print corset that shows off her cleavage, which is certainly a far cry from the baggy clothes fans used to see her in.

“People hold on to these memories and have an attachment. But it’s very dehumanizing, ”she said of losing followers because of her new, more adult image.

In the October 2021 issue of the fashion monthly, in a plunging dress studded with crystals, the singer also explained that those who criticize her image don’t seem to understand that it’s not that deep.

“The other day I decided to wear a tank top. It wasn’t even a provocative shirt. But I know people are going to say, “Holy shit, she dresses sexy and tries to make a statement.” And I’m like, ‘No, I’m not. It’s 500 degrees and I just want to wear a tank top! ”She told the publication.

Billie dyed her famous sour green locks blonde last year, which she said made her feel like “a new person.”

“I couldn’t go anywhere with that hair because it was so obviously me. I wanted anonymity, ”she explained. ‘I went to a park with a friend [after going blonde], and I was like, ‘No, I can’t take my hood off!’

“But my friend said to me, ‘Don’t worry: you’re fine. Nothing is going to happen. And I took off my hood, and I felt like a new person. I had no intention of ‘This is going to make everyone think differently from me.’ I’ve had different colored hair and vibes for everything I’ve ever done.

“I really wish there was a way to avoid it. Literally delete my account but still have contact with the fans. I want to be able to have both, but you can’t, ”she thought.

Billie’s second album Happier Than Ever made its number one debut in the world upon release, with the star directing her own videos.

“The album was born out of a lot of self-reflection. Happier Than Ever, it’s really just me dealing with trauma… making this album was cathartic and liberating, ”Billie said. “I’m a very visual person and music videos have always been my favorite art form, since I was a kid.

“From the start, almost all of my videos were my own ideas. I just didn’t know I could lead them. It’s hard to translate an idea you have in your head – to get someone else to understand it – and then bring it to life. Sometimes you just have to do it yourself, even if it’s difficult.

Eilish was filmed in dreamlike footage escaping from a flooded house for her latest video.

She said of the experience: “Water was my biggest fear – I was terrified of drowning and having my head stuck underwater. But I am a daredevil. I want to do whatever scares me.

“Half of the video was shot underwater. So I pretty much got over my fear of water. It was crazy, man. ‘
