The coronavirus has managed to wreak havoc on just about every other event planned for 2020, including Black Friday. Or at least, Black Friday as we know it.

Now, thanks to Lockdown 2.0, the Black Friday event will take place entirely online for the first time. We anticipate that many online retailers will take advantage of this opportunity to increase their sales before the end of the year. In this competitive retail landscape, we might see some of the biggest discounts ever – and many are already having a strong start on sales.

So far, stores are offering big discounts on TVs, tech, beauty, smart devices and more, which means those looking to do their Christmas shopping early are spoiled for choice.

We’ve put together the following guide to help you find the best Black Friday deals this year, including the best deals currently on sale:

When is Black Friday 2020 in the UK?

Technically, Black Friday 2020 is set to start on November 27, but many retailers are launching early deals in an attempt to attract more customers.

This year Cyber Monday will take place on November 30, although we don’t expect there to be a huge difference in the selling prices or products on offer this weekend. Cyber Monday began in 2005, when a U.S. trade association noticed an increase in online sales the Monday after Thanksgiving, but the world’s shift to digital shopping made Cyber Monday less relevant.

You’ll find the best deals online are advertised from Black Friday through Cyber Monday, with a few “ Lightning Deals ” posted throughout.

Where can I find the best Black Friday deals?

It is not surprising that Amazon leads the pack as it is not only responsible for bringing Black Friday to the UK, but has the widest range of deals across the widest range of categories – including TVs, tech, mobile phones , home appliances, laptops, tablets, consoles, smart devices and more.

The two stores also match the prices of many of their competition’s best deals, making Currys an easy one-stop-shop for tech and John Lewis an attractive destination for high-end lifestyle products.

Argos also gets early deals with big discounts. The store is a go-to for smart tech, video games, and consoles, which can tick off many categories on the average Christmas shopping list as well.
