BMW R 18 Classic First Edition launched at Rs. 24 Lakh


The BMW R 18 Classic is based on the same BMW R 18 cruiser, but has a smaller 16-inch front wheel, windshield, passenger seat and saddlebags.

The BMW R 18 Classic is priced at Rs. 24 lakh (ex-showroom)

BMW Motorrad India has launched the all new BMW R 18 Classic as a 24 lakh Fully Built Unit (CBU) (old showroom). The R 18 Classic is the second member of the BMW R 18 cruiser segment and receives additional equipment over the standard BMW R 18 to make it more travel friendly. It gets a slightly different passenger seat, a clear windshield, a pair of leather saddlebags, additional LED auxiliary lights, and a smaller and wider 16-inch front wheel. The R 18 Classic is powered by the same 1802cc air-cooled Big Boxer engine as the production BMW R 18.

The windshield is easily removed, just like the saddlebags


The new BMW R 18 Classic continues to be powered by the air and oil-cooled two-cylinder boxer engine, the most powerful boxer in the BMW series. The 1,802cc engine produces 91 hp at 4,750 rpm and maximum torque of 158 Nm available from 2,000 to 4,000 rpm. The R 18 Classic comes with an anti-skip clutch, eliminating unwanted jumps from the rear wheel, and with a 6-speed transmission. A reverse gear is available as an option. Like the standard R 18, three driving modes are offered: Rain, Roll and Rock. The electronic suite includes safety functions such as automatic stability control, dynamic engine brake control and hill start system. Keyless ignition and electronic cruise control are standard.
