Bomb threat leads to evacuation at Bell Gardens High School; no explosive found


Authorities are investigating a bomb threat against a high school in Bell Gardens on Friday.

The threat was first reported to police around 10:40 a.m. after it was seen on social media, allegedly targeting Bell Gardens High School on Agra Street.

Police ordered the evacuation of all staff and students to the campus football field while officers, assisted by a bomb-sniffing dog, searched the school for an explosive device.

After no explosive was found, the students were able to return to the classroom with authorities who thought it was safe.
