The Border Security Force (BSF) held the second round of the recruitment process in the form of a written test on Sunday at nine centers in Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh for the gendarme post at the BSF and the Central Security Force industrial (CISF).
“The border security forces organized the second round of recruitment in the form of a written test in nine centers spread over its campuses in Srinagar, Bandipore, Baramulla, Kupwara, Gurez Tangdhar as well as at Police Line, Kargil, ITBP Camp, Leh and Police Line, Diskit, Nubra Valley, District Leh; for the post of gendarme (general service) ”, indicates the official statement of BSF.
He said a total of 1,356 vacancies had been created since November 2019 to provide jobs for young people in 22 districts in the newly created Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.
“In these regions alone, more than 11,000 candidates had registered to be recruited to the BSF and CISF at the initial stage and after the preselection of their physical parameters and the efficacy test, 5,151 men and 438 women were judged. able to take the written test of October 18, ”the statement added.
The OSB said that the written test was originally scheduled for December 29, 2019, but due to unsuitable weather conditions and subsequent COVID-19 restrictions, it had to be postponed.
“The result of the written examination will be declared on November 3, 2020 and the medical examination of the shortlisted candidates, as well as their appeals / re-examination, if any, will take place from November 9 to December 26, 2020. The final result by field and by category of successful candidates will be published on January 8, 2021 ”, he added.
