TBEN Business’s Charles Payne ripped Republicans on “The Faulkner Focus” Thursday after Democrat Sens. Joe Manchin and Chuck Schumer had struck a deal on a major spending bill. The deal came hours after Republicans helped pass the CHIPS bill, while under the impression that the Democrats’ appeasement bill was off the table.

CHARLES PAYNE: Looks like Mitch McConnell played big. You know, all those Republicans who thought, OK, we can vote on corporate welfare, because reconciliation is off the table: Tax hikes are now off the table in less than 24 hours after they agreed to it. Then we get Senator Manchin flip-flops. You wonder how much of this was already orchestrated, but they look really dumb now: the Republicans who voted for this. And I have to tell you, it doesn’t work. Unfortunately, we find out the hard way that this free money policy doesn’t work. And I wish they would all stop.
