In a letter dated August 29, Tiwari wrote that last year people were forced to perform Chhath rituals in the Yamuna surrounded by poisonous foam.

Tiwari requested Saxena to intervene and ensure all arrangements are in order, stating that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal can refocus on Chhath festival to hide the truth about Yamuna’s pollution.
