Ogun State Police rescued the two Chinese nationals recently kidnapped in the Oba area from the local government of Obafemi Owode.
DAILY POST reported last week that gunmen invaded the community of Ogun from the river and ripped off their targets.
However, police said the two victims were rescued on Tuesday without payment of ransom to the kidnappers.
Ogun Police Public Relations Officer Abimbola Oyeyemi revealed that they were rescued from their captors as a result of serious efforts by men in the State Police Command.
“We even used the helicopter we use to search for them for the past two or three days,” Oyeyemi told reporters.
