Chris Jericho shared some interesting news on the last episode of his podcast, Talk is Jericho. Dr. Alex Patel, an intensive care physician based in Toronto, Canada, was the guest of the episode as the two spoke about the COVID-19 pandemic.
It turns out that Jericho tested positive for the coronavirus around September, but showed no symptoms.
“It’s interesting because I haven’t really told anyone, but I tested positive maybe in September. I had no symptoms. I spent my 10 days in isolation and stayed away from everyone. I didn’t have any symptoms, didn’t even know I had it. I went for a test in general and they said I was positive. I was like, ‘Really? Are you serious? I had nothing, I didn’t have a headache, I didn’t have a cough, which I guess is a very lucky thing. On top of that once I got it it was not a false positive I had three different tests and they are all positive. Now I have the antibodies.
Jericho spoke about how, when tested for AEW events, he does a blood test that always shows he has antibodies. He added that at the time he had lost his taste and was trying to remember the taste of orange juice.
The former AEW heavyweight world champion has been criticized for his stance on COVID-19 throughout the ongoing global health crisis. He got hot in August for giving Fozzy concerts in South Dakota, North Dakota and Fort Madison. Nick Jackson has just confirmed that he previously had the virus.
