Chris Jericho sat down with the New York Post to promote AEW Dynamite on Wednesday where The Inner Circle will face The Pinnacle in the Blood and Guts match.
Meanwhile, he was asked about the possibility of AEW signing one of WWE’s recently released talents. These wrestlers were Samoa Joe, Mojo Rawley, Billie Kay, Peyton Royce, Mickie James, Chelsea Green, Tucker, Kalisto, Bo Dallas and Wesley Blake.
He initially named Tucker but noted that he thinks that if Tucker comes out and proves what he can do in the independent wrestling scene, he could be someone they sign.
The biggest name that stands out for Jericho is Joe, who had been a commentator for WWE for the past year due to his history of concussions.
“Obviously, the only name that stands out as the main event heavyweight champion is Samoa Joe. These guys have three months before they can go anywhere. But I would love to see Joe in an AEW ring at some point. It’s another dream match if you want to go.
I have never (fought him). I think we had a shitty little three minute game on Raw and it was just kinda dumped. And I didn’t want to do it because I said it was a pay-per-view match, but it’s WWE style. I think Joe and Jericho, Joe and Omega, Joe with Cody, Joe with the name put in here is a money game.
Jericho also talked about the Blood and Guts match, the Wednesday Night War, etc. Check out the full interview here.
