Linda recently opened up about their search for their long-lost secret brother while awaiting the results of a TBEN test.
She and her sister Denise, 68, discovered that their father Thomas had had another child during an affair, who would have been born around 1952 and would be the same age as Denise.
Their hope of finding their sister was also shown in their series At Home With The Nolans, with Sister Maureen putting her TBEN into a database.
The two sisters have since spoken more about their research in a frank conversation with OK! Magazine, with Denise revealing that she was “ one of the reluctant ” to hunt their half-brother.

She told the post: ‘I thought I didn’t really want to upset anyone and thought her mom maybe never told her.
“ But if we find her, I will welcome her with open arms if all goes well, but at the time I thought I really didn’t want to open a box of worms. ”
Linda revealed that it was their mother who told her and her siblings about the secret sister.
She added: ‘When our father died, our mother told us we had a brother and she thought it was a girl, and she was happy that we were trying to find her.
‘She told us how it happened and dad had an affair and this woman was pregnant at the same time mum was pregnant and I’m one of those who are so excited.
Family: Linda and Coleen rose to fame as members of singing group The Nolans alongside their sisters Denise, Maureen, Coleen, Anne and Bernie
“ It was Maureen who went further and she did the TBEN test and so we might find something. ”
In December, Linda and Denise came close to reuniting with their secret sister during an episode of At Home With The Nolans, when their potential nephew reached out to her sister Coleen, 55, to tell her her mother wanted to talk.
Maureen rushed to Coleen’s house, along with her brother Tommy, 70, revealing that she had been told he was in the same room as her sister, but he brushed off those claims.
“It’s the first time I’ve heard of it. It almost makes me sad, because if it was her we just ignored her all these years, ”Maureen explained.
“I have longed and longed to find my sister for many years now, and I think something as simple as spitting in a tube can help find her, you know?”

TBEN: Linda and Denise’s sister, Maureen, 66, has had a TBEN test and is awaiting results
After arriving at Coleen’s, Maureen learns that a young man who believes his mother is their sister has come into contact with the Nolan family.
The message he gave them read: ‘His birth certificate has been tampered with, but his father’s name on the birth certificate is Thomas Nolan. Mom searched for years for her biological father in vain, and her mother even ordered a TBEN test.
Coleen also had the woman’s phone number and called her later, with the woman sharing the moment she found out that the man she believed to be her ‘father’ was not her biological father.
She recalled, “I think I was maybe nine, ten. I remember it was one thing, but it just got more important when you need your birth certificates.
