‘Complete lockdown’: the only way to stop the spread of Covid, says Rahul Gandhi


Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said today that the only way to stop the spread of the Covid-19 infection now is a full lockdown. “The Indian government does not understand. The only way to stop the spread of Corona is now a complete lockdown – with NYAY’s protection for vulnerable sections. The inaction of the Indian government is killing many innocent people.” Rahul Gandhi said in a tweet.

Later, in another tweet, Gandhi said he just wanted to make it clear that a foreclosure is now the only option due to a “complete lack of strategy” on the part of the Indian government.

“Rather, they have made it possible to actively help the virus to reach this stage where there is no other way to stop it. A crime has been committed against India,” alleged the former congressman. .

The total number of COVID-19 cases in India has crossed the 2 crore mark with 3.57,229 infections reported in one day, while the death toll rose to 2.22,408 with 3,449 new deaths, according to ministry data Union Health updates Tuesday.

Maharashtra, Karnataka and Delhi are among the 10 states that account for 71.71% of new COVID-19 cases in the country, the Union’s health ministry said on Tuesday.
