York City police are investigating a murder that occurred Monday afternoon, according to a press release.
Leonard Johnson, 37, of the 200 block of North Main Street in Manchester, died of multiple gunshot wounds, the York County Coroner’s Office said.
Officers responded to the 300 block of Miller Lane for a reported shooting at around 1:33 p.m. and found the injured man, the release said.
According to police and the coroner, Johnson succumbed to his injuries at the scene, despite life-saving efforts.

Detectives are investigating.
This is the 15th homicide in the city, more than last year’s homicide rate.
