“ I think the documentary opened the hearts of a lot of people to what it’s like to be a personality at the center of the judgment. ”

Praising Britney, Courtney continued, “Major props for Queen Brit. She was everyone’s “sidehow”, but she still stands … she always stands up. She is a rock to me.

“ I felt the world pointing fingers at me as they watched and laughed as I sank in the middle of the ocean. I know what it feels like to be everyone’s “train wreck”, but no one ever sees you for who you are or has compassion for your pain.

Reflecting on the difficult times, Courtney continued: ‘I tried to kill myself, I drank myself to sleep, I had no idea I was being abused, both sexually and mentally.

“ I was lost in the Hollywood craziness and had nowhere to turn, all the while being portrayed as some sort of bad clown that people could take revenge on. 16,17,18 have been the most difficult years of my life.

Courtney said that at 26 she was now ‘divorced from toxicity’ and felt ‘grounded’ in her life.

She added: ‘Now I’m 26, divorced from toxicity and I feel so much more grounded. I don’t rely on pills or alcohol for my value.

“Music is my passion and I focus on serving you BOP after BOP! ILYSM Stoddenistas, love is strong! #mentalhealth #britneyspears #celebrity. ‘
