Dubai: The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) has announced that all of its centers have started administering the second dose of Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine. In a tweet early today, DHA advised everyone who has made an appointment for the vaccination campaign to get to their designated health centers on time to receive the vaccines.
DHA launched its COVID-19 vaccination campaign in December 2020, offering the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine. UAE residents also have the option of taking the Sinopharm vaccine.
Currently, trials are also underway for the Russian human adenovirus Sputnik V vaccine. DHA has already identified specific groups of people who have been excluded from the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, including nursing mothers, pregnant women and children under 18. years, people with immunodeficiency diseases, among others.
