COVID-19: UAE reports 3,005 new coronavirus cases, 5 deaths

Abu Dhabi: The United Arab Emirates announced 3,005 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the country’s overall total to 375,535.

According to the Department of Health and Prevention (MoHAP), the latest coronavirus patients, all of whom are in stable condition and receiving needed care, have been identified after performing more than 175,284 additional COVID-19 tests on UAE citizens and residents over the past few days.

Five more deaths from the deadly virus have also been confirmed, bringing the death toll in the country to 1,145.

The ministry also announced the full recovery of 3,515 new cases after receiving necessary treatment, bringing that number to 366,567 of the total recovered. This means that there are currently 7,823 active cases in the country.

The ministry expressed its sincere condolences to the families of the deceased and wished a speedy recovery to all patients, calling on the public to cooperate with the health authorities and to respect all precautionary measures, including social distancing protocols, to ensure the public safety and protection.
