Cricket South Africa launches exciting new digital app to bring game fans closer

Cricket South Africa (CSA) has launched an exciting new digital community app for fans in South Africa and around the world, to enhance its cricket digital footprint and deliver the ultimate fan experience.

The new and innovative mobile app is a stepping stone in the CSA’s overall growth strategy by increasing the accessibility for existing fans and newcomers to the sport to unite, particularly during the Covid-19 pandemic, where fans want to get closer to their favorite teams. The app will feature exclusive content on all elements of the game in South Africa, from Proteas and Momentum Proteas to franchise cricket.

The app provides a comprehensive solution where fans can socially interact and connect with other like-minded cricket enthusiasts. They are able to post, comment, share, like and follow each other, which impacts the community and the brand itself. Fans will discover new content, interact with league players and influencers, participate in one-on-one and group discussions, have access to exclusive content like behind the scenes, roster and a view of upcoming games where fans will be able to follow the ball – ball commentary and tournament leaderboards, plus many more features to come.

This innovative step is the result of a strategic collaboration between ASC and Interacting Technology Sport Ltd, a leading Israel-based sports community platform provider with digital expertise for fan engagement.
