On the latest “Table Talk” podcast, WWE Hall of Fame member D-Von Dudley provided an update on his health. D-Von recently said he was recovering after suffering a stroke.
Here’s the latest update on his health:
“I had a stroke. It could have been really bad. By the grace of God, they got it on time. There are no harmful effects of stroke. I am healing extremely well. I’m back on the show. I hope I can return as a producer to WWE soon. I want to say thank you to everyone. It happened on November 13th. I am fine now… “
“When the stroke happened, I was embarrassed that it could happen to me… It was she (his wife) who called me. I woke up at 5:30 am to go to the bathroom and I couldn’t feel my legs anymore… They called the ambulance and greeted me. I had a stroke and I was also bleeding on the inside so they had to stop this. They put a stent in my right side. They took it up to my brain because I had to have brain surgery, so instead of cutting me, they took it up to my brain to break up the blood clot.
I am here. I do physiotherapy. It is working very well now. They’ve taken all kinds of medicine from me and I’m doing what I’m supposed to do to stay healthy. John Laurinaitis called me and really watched me make sure I got the right care and everything. Vince called and he wanted to make sure I was okay. Here’s why I love Stephanie McMahon so much. When the stroke happened she called my wife and then she called me and left a message and she said, ‘I know you’re going to beat this. I know you’re gonna do well, but I want to hear it from you, so I’ll call you back because I want to hear you tell me it’s okay. Sure enough, she called me back and I couldn’t answer. I called her back and she said, “It’s so great to hear your voice. It’s the most loving thing I think I’ve ever received from someone who doesn’t have to take care of me like this. WWE, I’ll say, they’ll call. They will make sure they are there. They were there for me and they did it for me. So, I could never, ever say anything bad about WWE. They took care of me in a way I never imagined and they did. So thank you for everything you have done for me during this time.
