It comes after earlier this year, Yebin had to miss the first few weeks of the ITV skating show after a “ freak accident ” with his skating partner Graham Bell in training in January.

She was scheduled to play with the 55-year-old former Olympic skier, but was hospitalized after an accidental fall with her skate tearing her leg and exposing her tendons.

Yebin said she was ‘absolutely drained’ of having to withdraw from the competition, but said she would cheer her partner ‘like a nervous mum on the side of the rink’ as he competed with his replacement Karina Mantra.

Yebin wrote: ‘Absolutely gutted I won’t be able to skate on @dancingonice with Graham these two weeks.

“ Graham and I had a freak accident during our Monday practice where his blade entered my shin.

“ Bad timing, but also counting my lucky stars as I cut muscles, not nerves, bones, vessels or tendons! How I haven’t cut anything out of everything they say is a miracle.

Speaking after the injury, Graham told TBEN: ‘I fell when we were training on Monday and Yebin, my professional dance partner, fell on the back of my skate.

“ She had a badly cut tibia cut and needed surgery to clean and stitch up the wound. She spent Monday evening in Watford Hospital and was released yesterday, luckily there was no nerve or tendon damage.

“ She was told two to four weeks before she could skate again, so Dancing on Ice arranged for a backup, Karina Mantra, for the first performances.

“It will be really hard to learn our routines again with someone new, but Yebin will be there to practice the both of us. Now that’s a huge incentive for me to stay on the show so I can put Yebin back on the ice!
