The date and location for this year’s WWE Extreme Rules pay-per-view has been locked.
On Tuesday, PWinsider.com announced that the event is scheduled to take place on Sunday, July 18. It will air from Tampa, Florida at the Yuengling Center.
It has been reported over the past month that WWE is planning to take SummerSlam on the road in August. While a date and location have yet to be determined, it is believed to be held outside with fans in attendance. WWE is hoping to resume touring after this full-time event, but things are likely to change due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
If that really happens, Extreme Rules could be the last PPV event to go without fans.
WWE presents the WrestleMania Backlash pay-per-view event on May 16, then hosts the Money in the Bank event on June 20.
WWE Champion Bobby Lashley vs. Drew McIntyre vs. Braun Strowman, WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Bianca Belair vs. Bayley, and WWE Raw Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley vs. Asuka vs. Charlotte Flair are the only matches announced for Backlash.
