Admission to nurseries for schools in the national capital will begin from tomorrow February 18. The first admission list will be announced on March 20, the Education Directorate (DoE) said.
The admission process will close on March 31. The last date to complete the admission form is March 4. Student classes will start on April 1.
“No deviation from the above schedule will be allowed. Each school must post the above admission schedule on its notice board and website … Each school must ensure that the application forms for admission are made available to all applicants until the last submission date, ie March 4, ”the statement added.

Schools have been asked to bill ₹25 parents as registration fee.
The DoE also ordered that since schools are closed due to the Covid-19 pandemic and physical classroom learning does not continue for entry-level classes at this time, no fees except prescribed registration fees, admission fees, warning fees (if school already fees) and tuition fees, will be charged at the time of admission by schools and, thereafter, only tuition fees will be charged to students until further orders.
Documents required for admission to Delhi Nursery:
Passport-sized photograph of the child
Passport-sized photograph of mother / father / guardian
Family photograph (mother, father and child)
Proof of address
Child’s birth certificate
Child Aadhaar Card
The upper age limit for crèche admissions is 4 years while the lower age limit for admission is 3 years as of March 31, 2021.
Schools will reserve 22 percent of their places in entry-level classes for students in the EWS / DG category and 3 percent for children with special needs (CWSN).
Usually, nursery admissions to about 1,700 schools in the nation’s capital begin the last week of November. The DoE publishes guidelines and schools are invited to provide the required information, after which the application process is launched in December.
