Governor Ron DeSantis was unaware that his team declined an invitation for him to appear on “The View” until after the fact, but said he was not interested in being involved in “partisan corporate media,” he said. the Republican from Florida told TBEN News on Thursday. .

An aide to DeSantis, Bryan Griffin, recently tweeted an email he sent to “The View” denying a request for an interview with the governor of Florida. Griffin wondered if the hosts were genuinely interested in hearing about his objectives.

“I didn’t know that was turned down until I saw it in the news because I think my staff knows better than to even bring it to me,” DeSantis told TBEN News. “I don’t need to be involved with some partisan corporate media.”

Griffin, in his response to TBEN’s “The View,” listed criticisms and insults that hosts Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, and Ana Navarro said about DeSantis. He asked which of those things his team should consider when deciding whether a performance would be worth the governor’s time.

“They’re free to say what they want. It doesn’t bother me,” DeSantis told TBEN News. “But I don’t want to give that oxygen.”

“So we’re just going to stick our noses to the ground,” the Florida Republican continued. “While they’re doing what they’re doing, I’ve been working on this issue here with the Soros prosecutor and also working on many, many other issues where we’re getting results for the people of Florida.”

DeSantis spoke to TBEN News after announcing that he had suspended state attorney Andrew Warren for promising not to sue abortion patients or their doctors. Warren made the vow in late June, days before a Florida law banning abortions after 15 weeks would go into effect.

George Soros has supported a number of progressive prosecutors across the country, although in 2020 Warren said he wasn’t sure the billionaire was helping his campaign. Soros contributed $1.3 million to the Florida Democratic Party, who then donated $50,000 to Warren’s campaign.

Griffin in his email asked which of the previous statements from the hosts of “The View” indicated that an interview with DeSantis “would be a sincere search for the truth.”

Griffin also included Hostin’s June 22 comment, “Death-Santis…I think he’s a fascist and a bigot.” He also marked quotes from Hostin and Navarro saying that the Florida governor’s policies were anti-black and against the LGBTQ community.
