Apple and its display suppliers have reportedly started developing OLED panels for the iPad and MacBook.

According to ETNews, the OLED iPad is expected to launch in 2024 and the OLED MacBook in 2026. The predicted timeline differs slightly from other reports. Display analyst Ross Young claims the OLED iPad will launch in 2024, and analyst Ming-Chi Kuo says the OLED MacBook could appear as early as late 2024.

Apple’s ultimate goal is to use its proprietary microLED displays on its flagship products. MicroLED will debut on the Apple Watch Ultra in late 2024 and come to the iPhone a few years later.
