‘Disappointed with England’: PCB chief Ramiz Raja reacts to ECB decision to cancel men’s and women’s tours in Pakistan

Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Ramiz Raja took to Twitter on Monday to express his disappointment at the England Cricket Board (BCE) decision to cancel both men’s and women’s cricket tours. Ramiz Raja said England let down a member of their cricket fraternity when they needed it most. “Disappointed with England, who withdrew from their engagement and the failure of a member of their cricket fraternity when they needed it most. Will survive, we inchallah,” Ramiz Raja tweeted.

The PCB chief further said it was a wake-up call for the Pakistani team to become world beaters for other teams to line up to play against them without looking for excuses.

“A wake-up call for Team Pak to become the best team in the world for teams to line up to play them without excuse,” he said.

The ECB announced on Monday that it had reluctantly decided to withdraw the male and female teams from the Pakistan tour.

“The ECB board met this weekend to discuss these extra matches for women and men in England in Pakistan and we can confirm that the board reluctantly decided to withdraw both October trip teams, “said an ECB press release.
