Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford are set to be offered their own show by the TBEN after their cut from ITV’s This Morning.

It was revealed earlier this month that the veteran presenters, both 60, will no longer host the Friday installments of the daytime show and instead be replaced by Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary.

But there might be a silver lining for the married couple as reports suggest rival broadcaster TBEN is ready to offer them the chance to present their own program.

The channel is apparently keen to have the pair appear on a different show on days they aren’t replacing This Morning presenters Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby.

A source told The Sun: ‘Eamonn and Ruth have a huge fan base and are very experienced.

“They can easily present any number of shows, so the producers of the Beeb are considering giving them a format up front.

TBEN has reached out to the TBEN and representatives for Eamonn and Ruth for comment.

Ruth and Eammon are said to be ‘disappointed and devastated’ to lose their usual Friday spot – a position they’ve held for 14 years.

It comes after the couple did thinly veiled digs into the ‘murder’ of people and ‘frosty atmosphere’ during This Morning Friday host – as they returned to the show for the first time since their removal.

As Eamonn and Ruth returned to the show for the first time since the reshuffle, it seemed like the situation was very fresh on their minds as Eamonn asked his guests if they had “ ever wanted to kill everyone. ”.

While earlier in the episode, the duo made rather sharp jokes about an “ icy ” and “ cold ” atmosphere as they discussed the weather.

After interviewing TV personality Richard Osman, a vitriolic Eamonn said: ‘Do you ever feel like murdering everyone?

“I’m thinking of a Friday murder club. A weekend murder club. Does the urge ever take you?

Ruth quickly responded, ‘Oh maybe now’ with Eamonn looking away from the camera in fancy.

The couple had already made extensive searches on the “cold” and “freezing” atmosphere.

Eamonn said: “Hello, it’s Eamonn and Ruth and a cold morning it was today” with Ruth adding: “Frost”.

He continued, ‘Jack Frost was already there when I poked my nose this morning’ before Ruth said, ‘It was very freezing, wasn’t it? ”

Friday’s show marked the first time the duo appeared on This Morning amid ongoing drama caused by their replacement on the program after 14 years.

Ruth must have interacted with her replacement Alison on Wednesday – the first meeting between the two women since the news broke.

And viewers then took to social media to call them “ annoying. ”

Alison co-hosted the show with Phillip Schofield, scheduled to tie in live with studio Loose Women – another show Ruth presents.

As they did, Ruth said hello to Phil, but apparently snubbed Alison – not mentioning her at all. Alison just waved her hand, softly, as she watched.

Among the reactions from Twitter, one person noted: ‘Ruth speaking to Phil and ignoring Alison this morning. Embarrassing!’

Another posted: ‘Slightly embarrassing that Alison is presenting #ThisMorning today then Ruth appearing on Loose Women! ”

Someone else called it a ‘drama’, while others re-expressed their feelings about the shake up in the presentation.

Hosts Ruth and Eamonn are reportedly ‘furious and upset’ by their release from the daytime series as they give way to its first permanent black presenter Alison and Dermot of X Factor.

The TV star recently opened up about transplant for her roles on This Morning and celebrity without being on a reality show.

Ruth told Mirror’s Notebook magazine that she and Eamonn had done the “job” to get to where they are today, in an interview given in early October ahead of the news.

Ruth said: “We put the work in place. We didn’t do a reality show and got a night job on TV. We have climbed the ranks.

“Eamonn was only 19 when he started. And he was making the tea time news in Belfast during The Troubles. It was heavy stuff. And he now has an OBE for broadcasting services.

It comes after Eamonn claimed that online trolls were plotting to sack him, hours before reports surfaced that he and Ruth were fired from This Morning.

Speaking to fans on a Belfast Live Facebook group, the broadcaster revealed that it was ‘stressful’ knowing that trolls could ‘get you fired’ on ‘live TV’, according to the Daily Mirror.

Eamonn is believed to have made the comments just a day before reports surfaced that he and his wife Ruth were being banned from This Morning.

Eamonn said: “People say it’s water on a duck’s back, but people wake up and know they can get you fired… that’s the problem with live TV. It can be very stressful. ”

In recent weeks, Eamonn has told his friends he worries he is too “ pale, stale and masculine ” for the ITV show, which has been criticized for not being diverse enough.

Eamonn and Ruth were reportedly ‘disappointed and devastated’ by the latest news as they had ‘loved’ their time on This Morning.

The duo will continue to host the ITV show Monday through Thursday during the school’s six-week summer vacation.
