ERP rates increase by S$1 from September 19 at 5 highway locations

Electronic road pricing (ERP) rates will increase by S$1 at five highway locations starting next Monday (Sept. 19).

According to a Sept. 13 press release by the Land Transport Authority (LTA), the price hike will help manage congestion on the affected highways.

They contain:

  • AYE for Alexandra towards City
  • AYE after Jurong Town Hall towards City (set of 3 portals)
  • Southbound CTE after Braddell Road & PIE Slip Road into Southbound CTE

    (Set of 4 portals)

  • PIE (Kallang Bahru & Slip road in Bendemeer) – Set of 2 portals
  • CTE northbound after PIE (set of 2 portals)

The price increases will take effect for three different time periods depending on location: 8:30am to 9:00am, 5:30pm to 6:00pm, and 7:30pm to 8:00pm.

On the CTE southbound after Braddel Road and the PIE ramp to CTE southbound, the ERP fare will be S$4 from September 19.

“The rates for the other previously announced timeslots/portals will remain unchanged,” LTA wrote.

“With these adjustments, the number of locations and timeslots charged is still significantly lower than the number charged pre-Covid.”

The agency also noted that it would continue to monitor traffic speeds and congestion to assess whether ERP rates need to be adjusted in the future.
