Leeds United’s displays this season have been so good, one expert jokingly said ‘even Kylian Mbappe’ would be seated and taking note of the style of play.
Two goals from substitute Rodrigo capped a solid 4-0 win for the Whites over Burnley. This means Leeds is getting closer to the top half and brought an impressive statistic of goals into the process. It has been a brilliant season in the Premier League for Marcelo Bielsa’s side. It also means they’ve only suffered one loss – at Brighton – in their last nine games.
An incident – apparently misinterpreted – with Gjanni Alioski may have spoiled the victory at Turf Moor.
However, their fluid football had a lot to admire and gives Leeds hope to be even better next season.
Leeds will likely strengthen to two positions this summer. They are looking at a new left-back – to replace Alioski, who is about to pass – and a midfielder to provide cover and competition.
However, after purring over their exhibit in Turf Moor, TBEN Radio Leeds expert Noel Whelan joked that Mbappe would like to play for Leeds.
“I guarantee you. You have Mbappe watching this style of football, he would have said, ‘I’d love to play this side.’ I’m not kidding, ‘Whelan said. TBEN Radio Leeds.
Mbappe at Leeds is obviously a transfer that just can’t happen – at least not anytime soon. Whelan, of course, will know that without a doubt.
The striker, who only has one year left on his contract, is reportedly demanding fees in the order of £ 150million. He would also likely command salaries which would likely be half of the Leeds squad put together.

Raphinha ready to take it to the next level
One man Mbappe would thrive with, though, would be Brazilian talent Raphinha.
He had a brilliant first season in the Premier League. However, after a relatively subdued performance at Burnley, he was tipped to shine even brighter the next quarter by Danny Mills.
He wants Raphinha to add some toughness to his game and take his talents to the next level.
“He’s had his first season in the Premier League now, it’s about building that robustness to play at this level week after week,” he said. Football insider. “The experience of this season will be very useful for him for next year.”
