Red Bull hopes to be closer to Mercedes in 2021, plans to be its main challenger
Red Bull has been full of promotions as the 2021 season awaits us in about a month. In a video now, Red Bull shows Max Verstappen interacting with his new teammate Sergio Perez, asking him to get ready quickly as a helicopter awaits him. In the video, Perez is even seen jumping from the helicopter. This comes before the team unveils the livery of its 2021 car dubbed RB16. Obviously, Red Bull’s PR and marketing function is overdrive – something the brand is known for around the world where they sponsor music festivals, bungee jumps and even stratosphere jumps.

The helicopter jump is also a node towards a new partnership with the insurance company Interpréteccion. In the video, Verstappen tells Perez: “Get on the helicopter, you have thirty minutes!” And then the Mexican jumps from the helicopter in Mexico City and parachutes down to the seat of their new sponsor.
