It finally felt like Saturday in January, after days of above average temperatures. In fact, NYC hit freezing for the first time this year on Saturday morning.

Cloudy skies, windy conditions and even a few gusts of wind dominated Saturday’s weather. This continues into the night hours. However, only a light dusting is expected. Winds will blow between 20-30 mph, with occasional higher gusts. This will send chills to the teens and twenties. Our true low will be 28.

For Sunday, the sky will be cloudy at first, but will gradually clear as the day progresses. Stormy conditions continue, with gusts of up to 30 mph.

A coastal storm far offshore may bring some snow showers on the far east side of Long Island. Slight accumulations of a coating up to an inch or two are possible. Our high will be 42.
