FRCN journalist Ogunyemi dies at 41 on Sunday – TBEN


On Sunday Ogunyemi, a staff member of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) in Ibadan passed away.

The late deacon Ogunyemi, a versatile journalist, was 41 years old.

The Nigerian Journalists Union (NUJ) in Oyo on Tuesday called his disappearance shocking.

The union declaration was signed by the president, Ademola Babalola and the secretary, Sola Oladapo.

“We cannot find appropriate words to describe the passing of a colleague and friend. Ogunyemi was a great journalist.

“He gave a good account of himself as a judicial correspondent, telling many stories on the job.”

The NUJ said Ogunyemi was a disciplined and principled person who displayed a high level of dedication to whatever causes he believed in.

The union offered its condolences to the wife, children, extended family members, colleagues and the FRCN.

The declaration prayed that God would forgive his faults and grant him eternal rest.
