Full Scholarship and Monthly Scholarship for Kenyan Students Announced; How to apply?

Kenyan graduates who wish to further their studies abroad can now apply for a fully sponsored scholarship offered by a Chinese university.

The scholarship was presented by the Yenching Academy from Peking University in China in October 2022.

Successful applicants will relocate to mainland China for the duration of the entire course.

Minimum Bachelor’s degree in any academic field. Continuing students can only apply if they graduate on August 31, 2023.

Applicants must also have excellent academic performance and an interest in the interdisciplinary study of China.

Competence in an extracurricular activity is an added advantage, as is evidence of leadership.

Students who have completed their bachelor’s degree in English are not required to show proof of English proficiency.

If you meet the above requirements, please enclose the following documents with your application form.

  • Completed online application form
  • Personal statement (750 words or less)
  • Statement of research interest (maximum 1500 words, excluding citations)
  • Curriculum vitae
  • official transcripts)
  • Diploma(s) or certificate(s) of registration
  • Two academic letters of recommendation

Successful applicants will be fully sponsored and enjoy a monthly stipend determined by the Yenching Academy of Peking University.

Registration for another degree program during the fair will lead to immediate termination.

Peking University does not allow students to enroll in other courses while studying at the university.
