Lok Janshakti (LJP) party leader Chirag Paswan said on Wednesday that those responsible in the sexual assault case involving his cousin and Samastipur MP Prince Raj Paswan should be punished.
“I am still in favor of punishment for whoever is really guilty in this matter. I had heard from both parties in January. But I am not allowed to make decisions or parties here since I am not an authority I advised them to go to the police, file an FIR and let the case be investigated, “Paswan told the media.
Referring to the fact that his name is also mentioned in the FIR, Mr. Paswan said: “I am not an accused. It was mentioned that I was aware of the whole affair. I was indeed aware of the matter. had asked them both to go to the police to resolve the matter. “
LJP chief Prince Raj Paswan, accused of the alleged sexual assault case, filed for early bail on Tuesday in Rouse Avenue court in Delhi, seeking protection from arrest in the case .
Prince, who is also the chairman of the party’s Bihar Unit, was sentenced in the nation’s capital on August 9 for allegedly raping a former party member.
The FIR was registered following instructions from a Delhi court almost three months after the victim filed a complaint with Delhi police.
The woman, who claims she was an LJP employee, claimed she was assaulted while she was unconscious.
