Helicopter called after aviation incident near Mt Aspiring

One person is in serious condition after an aviation incident this afternoon near Mt Aspiring in Otago.

Hato Hone St John said it was warned shortly before 2pm.

A spokesperson said a helicopter crew treated one person with serious injuries and they were flown to Dunedin Hospital.
