Hero MotoCorp has been actively involved in offering help after the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic that hit India. The company announced a unique social assistance program for 50 families affected by Covid-19 in Rajasthan, in association with “Nath Sanskirti Seva Santhan” (NSSS). As part of the “Hero We Care” CSR initiative, the social assistance program aims to support women from affected families by creating favorable conditions to maintain their livelihoods, providing them with essential services such as security. food and nutrition as well as the education of their children. The project was announced today by Satish Poonia, MLA – Amer, with Dr Rakesh Kumar Meena – SDM, Jaipur, Vishwamitra Meena – SDM, Jamwaramgarh and Bharatendu Kabi, Head – Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) & Corporate Communication, Hero MotoCorp.

Bharatendu Kabi, said: “As a responsible corporate citizen, Hero MotoCorp strives to meet the immediate humanitarian needs and long-term economic challenges posed by the coronavirus pandemic. We are launching a skills development program aimed at empowering 50 of these women to be employable and self-sufficient in the long term. This initiative will help them acquire the required training and develop their entrepreneurial skills to better earn a living, thereby contributing to the sustainable development of communities. We will also provide a monthly allowance for the educational and nutritional needs of children who have lost their parents or guardians to Covid-19. “

As part of this partnership, Hero MotoCorp and NSSS will support children who have lost one or both of their parents or guardians and women who have lost their spouse due to Covid-19, in the districts of Amer and from Jamwaramgarh in Rajasthan. Along with this project, Hero MotoCorp undertook several other relief measures in Rajasthan, such as providing two-wheelers to health workers and medical staff, donating first aid vehicles to medical and health services, distributing in Alwar and Jaipur, distributing dry food ration kits to families in five districts and also distributing face masks, disinfectants and PPE kits to frontline workers and hospitals in 10 districts of Rajasthan .
