Hospital receives 1.5 million surprise gifts

On Thursday, January 14, leading gaming company Mozzart donated Ksh 1.5 million of intensive care unit (ICU) medical equipment to the sub’s referral hospital. -Nyamache County in Kisii as part of its ongoing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative dubbed “Supporting Our Healthcare Facilities.”

The donated equipment included hospital beds, patient monitors, oxygen concentrators and bedside carts.

“God has given man the opportunity to serve man and we thank Mozzart very much for these very vital gifts. Our nurses, doctors and all staff are very grateful. They will go a long way to improve service delivery in this hospital and in Kisii in general, ”said Dr Kimutai Cheruiyot, Deputy Director of Kisii County Medical Services.

“We are going through a very difficult period and we thank the Mozzart team for choosing us as the beneficiary of their great CSR initiative. This hospital serves a large number of people in the region and there was a real need for these facilities.

“Now we’re going to bring key medical services closer to people because they don’t have to travel far and that’s great,” added Dr Kevin Mutonga, head of the Nyamache Sub-County Referral Hospital.

Mozzart Kenya Marketing Director Frank Ochieng ‘reiterated the company’s mission to empower Kenyan communities.

“In order to show his support for our healthcare professionals and the great people of Kenya, Mozzart has given back to society and we are not stopping. When Covid-19 struck last year, we donated Ksh10 million of essential matching medical equipment in the fight against the pandemic. The donations were made to ten major hospitals in ten different counties in Kenya, ”he said.

“Mozzart shows even more commitment to supporting our healthcare facilities by donating critical care equipment to our hospitals, and so far, between November 2020 and today January 14, 2021, thirteen different hospitals have received this essential medical equipment, “he added.

The facilities include; Mama Lucy Kibaki Hospital, Pumwani Maternity Hospital, Ngara Health Center, Chemolingot Sub-County Hospital, Mathare North Health Center, Kahawa West Health Center, Kayole 1 Health Center, Sub-County Hospital of Kayole 2 and Nyamache sub-county referral hospital.

On Friday January 15, the Mozzart team will be at the Rachuonyo Sub-County Hospital to donate more equipment while other hospitals across the country are lined up to benefit in the coming weeks.
