Dubai: EWINGS, the managing operator of Emirates Loto (now relaunched as Mahzooz), ensured to do its best to help customers who failed to claim or recover their refund after Emirates Loto ceased operations in July for system upgrades.
In a statement sent to Gulf News, the company said, “Everything EWINGS does revolves around our customers and their happiness. The moment we discontinued Emirates Loto, we immediately contacted all of our available communication channels to offer refunds to all of our customers. “
“Our goal was to make sure that each of our valued customers was aware of the refund process and was able to get their money back successfully,” EWINGS stressed, adding: “If, despite our best efforts, there are Customers who have done so are unable to claim or collect their refund, they can contact our call center at 800 5825 and provide the necessary details. We will do our best to help them. “
Emirates Loto held its inaugural draw on April 18, but was postponed to July 18, just hours before its evening live draw. Four months later, several Gulf News readers said they still had not received their refund.
Refunds to customers
EWINGS said it started reimbursing the customer on July 19 and continued until September 15, which was extended until September 30. “Between these dates, we sent out several reminders and email notifications, social media posts, our website, national press and SMS notifications. In addition, we had a dedicated call center to help our customers with the refund process, ”EWINGS told Gulf News.
