“If eligible, get vaccinated soon”: Prime Minister receives second dose of Covid vaccine


PM Modi received his second Covid vaccine today at AIIMS Delhi

New Delhi:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi received his second dose of the Covid vaccine today at AIIMS Delhi, 37 days after receiving his first vaccine, and urged all eligible people to be vaccinated.

PM Modi was the first beneficiary on March 1 as the second phase of national coronavirus vaccination began.

Tweeting a photo of himself being vaccinated, the prime minister said vaccination was one of the few ways to beat the virus.

“I received my second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine at AIIMS today. Vaccination is one of the few ways we have to beat the virus. If you are eligible for the vaccine, get vaccinated soon, “PM Modi tweeted and shared a link on the CoWin website, a portal to register for the vaccine.

The two nurses who administered the vaccine to the Prime Minister are P Niveda, who also administered the first vaccine, and Nisha Sharma.

Ms. Niveda is from Pondicherry while Ms. Sharma is from Punjab.
