Imo State Assembly Deputy Speaker Amara Iwuanyanwu said the state would benefit from President Muhammadu Buhari’s recent visit.
Iwuanyanwu said Buhari’s visit to Imo State would help the president identify where he can help.
The member representing the Nwangele State constituency at the IMO Assembly made the comment in a statement sent to DAILY POST.
He said the president’s visit was an opportunity for Buhari to see the work being done by the state’s governor, Hope Uzodimma.
He said: “The benefits of the presidential visit will be immense and beneficial for Imo.
“A few days after his departure from Imo, President Muhammadu Buhari’s state visit is still a hot topic in the state.
“For example, there are federal highways that the governor was committed to that aren’t actually state highways, but because of the viability of those highways, he took them with meager funds.
“So if the president comes back with what he saw on the ground, he can decide where the federal government would help.
“This presidential visit is historic in different dimensions. “
Buhari had visited Imo State on September 9, where he had commissioned projects.
The president also met with leaders from the Southeast during his visit.
