IND vs ENG: “I will keep England 60-65 percent over India” – Shahid Afridi

Indian Cricket Team is all set to play against England on November 10 (Thursday) in the 2nd Semi-final of the 2022 ICC T20 World Cup. The Men in Blue are quite the favorites for the match as they fire all the cylinders and are looking to as a formidable unit. The team got a wake-up call against South Africa, but since then the team has done a good job.

England on the other hand would be well aware that they have a huge task on their hands. England’s midfield has been quite vulnerable and the batters have been unable to perform to their credentials. Alex Hales holds the key for England as he has been playing in the Big Bash League in Australia for quite some time.

Shahid Afridi on India

Shahid Afridi was seen interacting with SAMAA Tv and was asked about both teams. “Both teams are equally balanced and have performed well in the tournament. Even their previous performances were good. But in my opinion I will keep England 60-65 percent over India.” said Shahid Afridi.

“I feel that their combination is extremely good when we choose batting or bowling, even the spinners. However, it is a big game and the team that will make fewer mistakes, and the team where all 11 players will give 100 percent their best will win.” he added.

Great opportunity for England

England haven’t won the ICC T20 World Cup since 2010 and this time it looks like they will end the 12-year drought. The specialty of the England cricket team is that they have a lot of power hitters in the team. The role of senior batter Moeen Ali would be crucial as he would lead the batters against the spinners.

The team would count on Liam Livingstone to play a fascinating knock, as the batter is known for his clean shot. It would be interesting to see what position Phil Salt is hitting as he is not used to hitting in the middle order. Management is using Ben Stokes very cleverly as they give him the new ball where he looked menacing.
