IND vs ENG: “It doesn’t look great” – Moeen Ali on Dawid Malan’s injury

The England cricket team has been dealt a huge blow as their star batter Dawid Malan is injured. The left-handed batter was seen uncomfortably while fielding against Sri Lanka and didn’t hit in the run chase either. Malan is someone who can provide stability in the innings.

England’s middle order has not fired according to its credentials. Management would be concerned because Buttler and Hales will always fail to provide a solid platform for the team. The team has shown that they have a menacing bowling lineup that any team can light up on any given day.

Moeen Ali interacted with the TBEN and was asked about Dawid Malan. “He’s been one of our best players for a number of years. I don’t know but to be honest it doesn’t look great. He went for scans yesterday and when he arrived we don’t really know much but it looks not great looking,” said Moeen Ali.

“England is the underdog. India has played fantastic last year and even if you look at the tournament they have played really well. I don’t think we should be honest, we’re a bit behind.” he added.

Exciting match on cards

England may be dependent on Buttler and Hales, but they have a very long batting range that can be threatening on any given day. The team has the services of Sam Curran and Cas Woakes who can play effective cameos at the end of the innings.

India, on the other hand, would hope Rohit Sharma packs a punch as the batter’s form is upside down. The management has again the conundrum of Dinesh Karthik and Rishabh Pant. In a knockout match, the management will have to be perfect because the reasons don’t matter at the moment.
