The third One Day International (ODI) against New Zealand was played on Tuesday 24 January in Indore. Shubman Gill hit 112 (78), his third hundred in four innings, to continue his impressive streak in ODI cricket.
However, the youngster thinks his father would be upset if he didn’t round the three digits to a huge hundred. A few days ago, Shubman’s father made headlines when he expressed concern that his son was not converting his starts into significant scores.

Shubman Gill’s recent success bodes well for the Indian cricket team, which will host the ODI World Cup in a few months. When he hit 112 against New Zealand at Indore on Tuesday, the youthful opener achieved his fourth ODI century in 21 games.
He now averages 73.76 in the 50-over format. Gill equaled Pakistan skipper Babar Azam’s record for most runs scored (360) in a three-match ODI series after reaching the 112-run mark in the Indore encounter. In the Test format, Gill has loads of material.
