Suryakumar scored the most points in India’s three-match T20I series against Sri Lanka earlier this month. In three games, the right-handed hitter scored 170 runs, including a century and a fifty.
His 112-point unbeaten run in the series finale stunned the crowd. However, he failed to make the starting eleven for the Men in Blue in the first two games of the ongoing 50-over series.

Suryakumar Yadav now gets the chance to play for India in the first two Tests of the Border-Gavaskar series against Australia at home thanks to his T20 success. The batter was named to the 17-man squad for the series.

KL Rahul bravely batted in the second ODI as Sri Lanka knocked on the door and the wickets fell from the other side.
