Indian wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik believes the wind will play a big part in the last two T20Is against West india also and the batters will have to be smart as they try to clear the boundaries.
In addition, ahead of the last two T20Is in Florida, Karthik said that his role as a finisher is a tough one as there is a short period of time where he needs to have a huge impact on the outcome of the game.
“The finisher’s role is one that is very difficult to be consistent with. Every time you come in, you need to be able to make an impact that will help the team. Sure, do something special on that particular day, that’s what I try to focus on.”
“There are many factors that can make it harder for you, especially in the Caribbean and Miami. Wind will be a huge factor even though it is a sport played with a heavy ball, often times the wind dictates as it tends to carry to field players and not cross the boundary line‘ said Karthik.
“If you try to take pictures, you may not get it right” – Dinesh Karthik
Speaking about his hitting style and how it might be affected in the last two T20Is, Karthik said the brutal shots will fall on certain days, and maybe not on other days. The bowlers will also have a huge voice at the same time, according to the 37-year-old.
“On the other hand, the flip side helps you hit bigger sixes and play the shots. It works both ways, the bowlers are smart and try to hit you against the wind as much as possible.”

“That makes it much more difficult as a batter. Sometimes, when you try to shoot, you may not get it right on a particular day. But there are days when you do it right and those days you should make it count,” he added.
