Inter have entrusted Eriksen to Man Utd in hopes of ambitious transfer


Inter Milan could offer Christian Eriksen to Manchester United in the hopes of securing Fred under the deal, according to a report.

Eriksen has struggled since leaving Tottenham, suffering from poor form.

His teammate Romelu Lukaku said that learning Italian would benefit the Danish international. Head coach Antonio Conte, meanwhile, doubted the change would have an impact.

Additionally, Conte insisted that he wouldn’t seek to move Eriksen into a deeper role to accommodate him. As such, links have resurfaced that he could be on the move again soon after signing for Inter.

Previous reports suggested that an exchange agreement with Arsenal for Granit Xhaka might be an option. however, Xhaka supposedly feels happy with his role in the revolution of Mikel Arteta.

But Corrierre dello Sport (via Mole Sports) says a move to United could be another option for the frustrated star.

As part of the deal, Inter are reportedly looking to sign Fred, which the source said would be a difficult operation.

Red Devils boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has relied on the Brazilian as the main protector of his four midfield full-backs. As such, it would take a bit of persuasion from Inter chiefs to get this part of the deal going.

Moreover, it’s still unclear whether United would want Eriksen on their side. Attacking midfielder Bruno Fernandes arguably made himself the first name on Solskjaer’s squad sheet.

The Italian post adds that Paris Saint-Germain’s Leandro Paredes is another option for a swap deal for Inter.

Meanwhile, Everton director of football Marcel Brands would find a move to United ‘hard to refuse’.

The Red Devils are said to be looking to nominate someone of the same ilk as part of a background restructuring.
