Jade Cargill, who debuted almost two weeks ago on AEW Dynamite, was interviewed this week on AEW Unrestricted.
Cargill opened up about her Nightmare Factory training with QT Marshall, learned from Dustin Rhodes, Chyna’s influence on her, her college basketball career, her fitness business, being a mom of a 3 year old, to be a positive role model and much more.
Here are some highlights:
Jade Cargill spoke about the coaches and agents she works with at AEW: “I worked with Dustin. Dustin really prepared and made sure I was literally ready. He made my debut super easy for me. He told me about everything as well as QT at the Nightmare Factory. They sat down to talk to me and rehearse with me to make sure everything was perfect. Dustin didn’t want me with anything less. It’s a very relaxing community. Dustin is my guy and QT is my guy. I love them. Dustin is all about the women’s division and QT Dustin is very honest. If you look crazy, he will definitely tell you that you look crazy. He’s old school so he really educates you on a lot of things and being from a sports background I need that. At the moment he is my mentor.
Jade was asked who had interested her in pro wrestling: “Chyna. Growing up I was always muscular and I always got caught by guys like, ‘Oh, she looks like that. She looks like a man. She’s too muscular. I remember growing up and watching Chyna and seeing how she embodied and loved what she looked like and that empowered me and made me say, you know, what, I look good . These muscles look great. It was she who started my adventure with wrestling.
Jade has spoken of being trained by Heath Slater: “It’s face to face in Atlanta, GA. Heath Slater has come several times and worked with me. In fact, it was Mark Henry, my mentor, who referred me to this gym. They made sure I was ready to come to AEW and Nightmare Factory.
