JEE (Main) – May 2021 session postponed due to Covid outbreak: Minister of Education


Amid the increase in Covid-19 cases in the country, Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank announced on Tuesday that the Joint Entrance Examination – Main (JEE Main) – session of May 2021 has been postponed.

“Students are advised to continue to visit the official NTA site for further updates,” Pokhriyal tweeted.

The JEE (Main) session – May 2021 was scheduled for May 24, 25, 26, 27 and 28, 2021. “However, keeping in mind the current situation, the JEE (Main) session – May 2021 is also postponed, “National Said Testing Agency (NTA).

Previously, the main session of JEE-April had been postponed due to the upsurge in Covid-19 cases across the country.

The JEE (main) session – April 2021, scheduled for April 27, 28 and 30, has already been postponed due to the COV1D-19 pandemic.

The postponement of the April and May sessions will take place at a later date.

Registration for the May session will also be announced at a later date.

The first two sessions have already ended in February and March.

Students were invited to visit the official NTA website ( and ( for the latest exam updates.

Earlier on Monday, the Ministry of Trade Union Education asked all higher education institutions funded by the center to postpone all offline exams scheduled for May as coronavirus cases increase in India.

In a letter to all heads of centrally funded institutions, Higher Education Secretary “Amit Khare urged institutions to postpone all offline exams scheduled for May 2021. Online exams, etc. . can however continue ”.
